How Choccolotties Luxury Wedding Cakes started
After many years in the City and Canary Wharf working for big corporates in Events and HR. I left the big lights behind to start my family, that was over a decade ago. Since then I’ve been perfecting my closely guarded secret recipes, I’ve made hundreds of cakes for high-profile clients, as well as providing cakes for local charities and communities to help them raise money and awareness. I’ve invested myself, time and money into learning new skills so that I can deliver the absolute best for my clients and allows me to stay at the top of my game.
“Keeley was completely on board with the vision we had for our wedding cake and created an exceptional gold leaf 3 tier wedding cake for us that blew us away. The process was really simple from start to finish and Keeley navigated our order throughout lockdown and the pandemic accommodating and understanding the stresses of moving a wedding. At Chocolotties you get to work with someone who is truly lovely and caring from driving to our venue in Suffolk to delivering and assembling the cake herself to giving us a lovely wedding gift – I highly recommend Chocolotties for your big day.”Katie & Alex, Hengrave Hall | Elegant gold leaf wedding cake
Why I specialise in luxury wedding cakes
After building my reputation and client base, I was finding that I was constantly in demand for celebration cakes and wedding cakes. Whilst I felt incredibly grateful to have such wonderful clients and a consistent flow of work, it did eventually catch up with me. I was trying to be and do everything, a good mum, wife and businesswoman and I just couldn’t manage it all. I’m only human after all! One of my clients said, “Keeley, you’re drowning in your own success!” At the time I actually felt like this was an accomplishment, “she saw me as a success”. So I continued on this path for a little longer until I reached burnout. I was spreading myself too thinly and wasn’t able to be the best version of myself, for my family, friends and clients. I wasn’t taking responsibility for myself, I put myself on the back burner, whilst I gave my all to everyone else. I quickly realised that something had to give, as my current life wasn’t sustainable. So I took the decision to really niche down and specialise in luxury wedding cakes and high-end celebration cakes.
Since then, I’ve been working really hard on myself and my business and it feels great to flourish again. I have the time and energy to fully immerse myself into your cake, to fully research, and give a fully personalised service. I am getting so much more from my work, as I have more time to spend on your cake to make it the absolute best that it can be. I’m enjoying getting to know my clients more and building relationships with your other suppliers to ensure that everything runs smoothly from start to finish. Being the perfectionist that I am, I want to ensure everything about your cake is exactly how you want it. I have built a fantastic reputation and trust with my clients that most leave the entire design to me because they have seen my work, they’ve tasted my cake and they’ve heard about me through word of mouth or reviews.
“Keeley made our wedding cake last Summer – apart from the cake being absolutely stunning and tasting amazing Keeley was so lovely to work with especially as we had to postpone our original date. I would highly recommend Choccolotties to anyone. Thank you so much!”Siobhan & Paul, High House Weddings | Modern Ruffle Wedding Cake

“I first noticed Keeley’s business on Instagram and was very impressed with the quality and perfection on the cakes that were made and posted by her business, Choccolotties. I quickly made contact and from there Keeley couldn’t have been more helpful for us, up until we were cutting our cake on the big day! The attention to detail and even last minute changes (on icing as weather was so hot!) just made it for us. And of course on top of that, our cake and 3 flavours looked and tasted absolutely amazing! Keeley even made us some cupcakes for our vegan guests so they didn’t miss out. 5 star service throughout, we would absolutely recommend – you will not be disappointed and we would definitely agree that Chocolotties is worth your money. To sum up, I would say the best bits are attention to detail, cake perfection and you’ll never have to panic or worry along the way – wish we could do it all again! Thanks again so much Keeley / Chocolotties!”Gemma & Richard, Gaynes Park | Floral Buttercream Wedding Cake
